The Counselor-in-training Program

This program is available to campers with special interests and talents who are entering high school. It seeks to develop the skills needed to become a competent junior counselor. In the mornings, our CIT’s are assigned to a group or an activity where they develop their leadership skills and sense of responsibility through their daily interaction with campers, camp staff and parents. After lunch, CIT’s can participate in our weekly elective activities, swim or continue assisting the staff as needed. Most CIT’s spend two years in the program before applying for a position as a junior counselor. Snack and lunch will be provided.
